Aramco and OEP Introduce Management and Leadership Diploma to Advance Vocational Excellence

Aramco’s Industrial Training Department (ITD) and Omnia Education Partnerships (OEP) have launched the Leadership for Excellence program, which leads to the Finnish Specialist Vocational Qualification in Management and Leadership, an official diploma issued by the The Finnish Institute for Enterprise Management, and recognized in the EU and most OECD countries. The training initiative is designed to introduce key personnel to Finnish best practices, including recognition of prior learning, personal competence development plans, and competence-based assessment, while elevating management and leadership competencies and implementing an innovation project.
The 12-month, part-time program blends workshops, study visits, mentoring and coaching, and project-based learning to strengthen excellence in vocational training. Participants engage in a structured learning journey focusing on three core themes: working as a manager, management of work community development, and project management for excellence. - Exposure to the Finnish TVET success model: provides insights into Finland’s competence-based system, work-based learning, and seamless industry integration.
- Hands-on engagement with international best practices: allows participants to benchmark TVET projects and build a structured approach to change.
- Immersive experience in skills competitions and advanced training: includes attending the Finnish National Skills Competition to observe top-tier vocational skills and Finland’s integration of AI, VR-based training, and digital learning.
- Industry and innovation engagement: how higher education, entrepreneurs, large companies and TVET form an ecosystem engaging in innovation initiatives together.
- Leadership and strategy development: enhances strategic thinking and decision-making in workshops, including sharing cases from leaders, and key stakeholders.
- Cultural and networking benefits: engages participants in global, EU and Finnish approach to sustainability, innovation, and lifelong learning.
Completing the Leadership for Excellence program gives participants hands-on experience in management and leadership skills, fosters innovation, and enhances operational effectiveness. The program also supports the exchange of best practices and establishes a network of excellence-focused professionals within Aramco’s training and development ecosystem.
