Entrepreneurship in VET – Teacher and student training programme
The Teacher and Student Training Programme in Entrepreneurship has been developed under Work Package 5 of the Erasmus+ COMPETE EGYPT – Competence-based VET as a Key Driver for Sustainable Socio-Economic Growth in Egypt project. The programme responds directly to the need for structured, competency-based entrepreneurship education within Egyptian Technical and Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions.
This training package provides a complete, implementation-ready framework designed to strengthen entrepreneurial mindset, business planning competences, and self-employment readiness among technical secondary students. It combines attitudinal development with practical tools such as design thinking, business model development, financial literacy, and market validation. A structured graduation project forms the culmination of the student learning journey, enabling learners to transform ideas into viable business concepts.
A central pillar of the programme is teacher capacity building. The facilitator training component equips VET teachers with the pedagogical and technical skills required to guide student teams through applied business development processes. By strengthening teacher competence in experiential learning, project supervision, and competence-based assessment, the programme ensures long-term sustainability and institutional embedding beyond the project lifecycle.
The full package includes student curriculum materials, facilitator guides, structured session plans, assessment tools, monitoring templates, and graduation project frameworks in Arabic. All materials are designed for practical classroom use and alignment with both national priorities and relevant European competence frameworks. The program description is also available in English.
