OEP was chosen by UNESCO-UNEVOC to implement a series of three webinars on digitalizing TVET and a mentoring program to equip TVET managers and teachers with relevant digital skills. The webinars and mentoring program were organized in 2021 under UNESCO-UNEVOC’s “Strengthening the Responsiveness, Agility, and Resilience of TVET Institutions for the Post-COVID-19 Era” project.
Webinar series
OEP was responsible for the technical delivery and content development for three global webinars on developing the digital aspects of TVET:
- Digital Competence and the Future of Work – Pathways for TVET Institutions
- Social Aspects of Digital Learning in TVET
- Navigating the Maze of Digital Tools and Services
More than 700 people from over 100 countries participated in the webinars.
Mentoring program
A three-month training program for TVET managers and teachers in five countries: Jamaica, Kenya, the Maldives, Nigeria, and Peru.
The specific goals were to:
- Support managers in setting up or improving the digital delivery of their institution’s services
- Support TVET teachers in acquiring teaching methods that are most effective for digital delivery
- Ensure the greatest possible effectiveness of learning when using distance learning approaches
The program was delivered in collaboration with experts from:
- Omnia, the Joint Authority of Education in the Espoo Region
- Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences
